DREAM (Durabilité de la Ressource en Eau Associée aux Milieux – Water Resource Sustainability Associated with Environments), an association created under the Law of 1901, was created in 2007 on the initiative of Orléans Technopole which had seen that the local region was home to many researchers, engineers and technician specialising in the soil, sub-soil, water, forestry and biodiversity (CNRS, INRA, BRGM, CEMAGREF, Agence de l’Eau, CEPRI, etc. and many companies too).
The DREAM cluster now features around fifty actors from the water sector, working on sustainability for water resources and associated environments.



Objectives:
To contribute to the region’s attractiveness through wealth creation and economic development by:
• Creating stronger synergy between economic actors and the research world on the theme of “Water”
• Producing collaborative projects that combine Industry and Research partners
• Encouraging technology transfers from Research to Industry, thereby speeding up innovation in businesses.

Projects
:
9 projects have been launched including TSAR (Techniques Sylvicoles et Agricoles Remédiantes – Remedial Forestry and Agricultural Techniques), EXTENGIS, CETRAHÉ and 24 others are emerging.

Geographical scope: the Centre Region, territories centred on the Loire.

The Loiret’s role in the Cluster:

Dream “Water and Environments" is based in Orléans.
Orléans is at the centre of the creation of this cluster via its technology park and its different elected representatives.
Geo-hyd, LVMH, Vergnet, Iris Instruments, Antéa, DSA are Loiret businesses involved in this cluster
