Prospecting

China
Shanghai-based Altios International did some prospecting based around three priorities (cosmetics and ingredients, new energies and means of transport).

Results
• A trade mission was organised in December
• A follow-up visit took place to LIFAN in Orléans
• About thirty projects were followed up
• A project to create a cosmetics R&D laboratory was identified
• A manager was welcomed to study the setting up of a storage and distribution unit
• LIFAN continued to develop

Japan
Coordinated by INVESTMENT INTERNATIONAL, the campaign was supplemented in the last quarter with a partnership with ROI

 Results
• A delegation of 20 Japanese company representatives was welcomed
• 10 new opportunities
• Loiret businesses were put into contact with 2 Japanese businesses in printing and agribusiness
• 9 projects to be continued in 2011


India
Altios India was asked to monitor Indian businesses and carry out some light prospecting.
Results
• 52 businesses contacted
• 1 short-term project (Pharmacy)
• 1 medium-term project (functional food)
• 12 businesses met in Paris at CPHI


Italy
Prospecting using ASCAN in Milan

Results
• Appointments at 20 exhibitions
• Almost 1,000 businesses contacted
• ADEL 3-day mission to meet 7 companies
• Areas of prospecting (agriculture, services to industry, cosmetics/hygiene, energies, ITC)
• 15 areas and 10 new opportunities identified since January 2011
• 6 investments completed
• 3 delegations welcomed


Joint international prospecting

ACSAN/Centre region

Development agencies and the Region decided to launch a joint prospecting operation between Centréco and the Centre region's 4 agencies in the last quarter of 2010 to last one year.
ACSAN was asked to prospect German and Spanish companies working in the field of energies and renewable energies.

Results
• 1,300 Spanish businesses contacted
• About 20 businesses are yet to be qualified
• 260 German businesses contacted
• 12 potential opportunities in the medium term
