Cosmetic Valley

Created in 1994 under the impetus of Jean-Paul GUERLAIN, COSMETIC VALLEY was made an Business Cluster by the French government on 12th July 2005.

Cosmetic Valley is the first Business Cluster entirely devoted to the perfume and cosmetics industry in the world.

Centred on the luxury universe, the cluster expands over six departments: Eure, Eure et Loir, Yvelines, Loiret, Loir et Cher and Indre et Loire.

A vertical industry, Cosmetic Valley brings together all the skills in the sector :

• clients with emblematic names such as LANCASTER, GUERLAIN, Parfums Christian DIOR, SHISEIDO or CAUDALIE,

• sub-contractors, very small businesses, SMEs or major corporate whose activities cover the entire range from growing plants to packaging, analysis and logistics

• research and analysis laboratories, biotechnology companies

The cluster mobilises many researchers and businesses in a dynamic network of exchange, synergy and innovation.

An ambition: create the most innovative, the most effective and the safest cosmetic products.

Since July 2005, 41 projects have been approved by the cluster involving businesses and research laboratories worth almost €75 million in investments

The Loiret, a major player in Cosmetic Valley

In the Loiret department, the Perfume and Cosmetic Industry comprises more than 75 companies, manufacturers and sub-contractors, that employ more than 6,600 people.
