Strengthen the competitiveness of businesses in the rubber sector through the combined action of industry, research and training.

Develop high-performance elastomer materials and innovative industrial applications

Geographical coverage :

4 regions are involved: Centre, Pays de la Loire, Auvergne and Ile de France


Themes covered :

Elastopole covers 5 sectors from design to marketing of finished products: polymers, the design of products and formulation of mixes, energy, environment and manufacturing procedures.

Project in progress :
« Overreach », studies non-polluting materials aimed at replacing chemical products concerned by the new Reach European directive (government financing: 500 000€).

10 studies in progress including :
« Polyphasics », the creation and provision of secondary recyclable materials made from used rubber products and production leftovers.

«Thermel», the thermal optimisation of vulcanisation tools, the obtaining of thermal and mix rheology knowledge at temperature and under pressure.
